Woodcote Rally

12th & 13th July 2008

The Woodcote Rally is a festival of steam, vintage & veteran transport with entertainment for all the family. Crafts, trade stands, children's entertainment, protected animals, live bands, a traditional fun fair and CAMRA's famous Festival of Ale combine to make it South Oxfordshire's premier event of its kind. Since 1964, Woodcote Rally has donated a total of £307,100 to deserving organisations.

In 2005 the 3-4-40 Events Team were asked to take over the running of the hot air balloons from the Woodcote Rally. In our first year (with a little luck from the weather) we managed to get 7 balloons into the air – as well as – making the local media by tethering Sonic the Hedgehog in the main arena!

It’s a wonderful event and a great place to fly from. Flying takes place from the main arena both morning and evening, and depending on weather conditions, there is a night glow in the arena on Saturday evening. Numbers are limited due to the size of the arena, but it’s not an event to miss!

The Woodcote Rally has become very popular for balloonists within the region over the last few years – don’t miss out, numbers are limited! – register your interest as soon as possible!
